Free Monitor for Google offers two ways to perform Google queries: the default one and via the Google API.

The default method works as follows:
Once you type keywords and click the Search button, Free Monitor for Google creates a query to Google. This query is absolutely the same as it would be if you typed the keyword in the Google search field in your browser. To use this method, make sure you didn't select the "Use Google authentication key" checkbox in the Preferences window:



The method has its advantages and disadvantages:

Advantages:

• Precise search - Free Monitor for Google will display exactly the same results is if you manually searched Google.
• This method does not have any limit of queries per day.

Disadvantages:

• It is a bit slower than Google API search
• It is not a legitimate way to perform Google queries. Why is it important?
