I did see this in the FAQ
Q: Will Google penalize my site for using your software?
A: No. This cannot happen, because it is technically impossible. However, if you still feel cautious you can check Google rankings using Google Web API which is also supported by Free Monitor for Google.
I am not sure why you say it is technically impossible. When GoogleMon issues a query to google to check the ranking for a particular keyword, does it also send the URL that it is checking for? Or does it keep checking every result to see if it found the URL? I did try using the Google API but for som reason it says I exceed my limitation of 1,000 keywords even if I enter 200 or so and run it. Thanks for your help. |

No, it doesn't send URL to Google, because this is not needed to perform a search. Do you send your URL to Google when perform a query by means of a browser? No. That's exactly the same way.

Google API has a bug in implementation which doesn't allow a client to get as much results as s/he want with a single query - API returns with 10 every time. So this bug is worked around in Free Monitor for Google with several consecutive queries. 1000 queries per day is a Google API limitation. |

if you are unable to understand this, you should not use this tool. I dont understand that a doctor can examine a heart in an open body and the patient doesnt die. so I dont examine someone. |

can you list the link to google api? I accidentally closed the window and have been hunting to find it back. I also suggest you add the link in the software tool, to easily find it |

Here it is: www.google.com/apis/
Alternatively, you can use Register with Google menu in Free Monitor for Google to access the same page. |
