Hi there,

I am trying Free Monitor for Google and I have red this: http://cleverstat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=204

Quering Google is working and I am getting results too. But the results differ with manual inputs.

I have chosen German (Austria) for Language/Country and at first I thought, I get results of German (Germany), because those results are simliar to manual search like there in Germany, but that does not match too exactly.

Please let me know what you have to know to analyze this problem.

TIA! Wink

Strange. Sometimes it seems to work correct and sometimes not.

Our site: www.flexisys.at

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

http://www.google.at/search?hl=de&q=apache2+virtuelle+server&btnG=Suche&meta=cr%3DcountryAT -> that is almost correct (our site is on rank 3 and 9), your software puts out:

http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/de/vhosts/
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/vhosts/

http://www.google.at/search?hl=de&q=apache+virtuelle+server&btnG=Suche&meta=cr%3DcountryAT -> that is incorrect, your software puts out (1-5):

The problem is here: &meta=cr%3DcountryAT

This parameter means to search in Austria only, while Free Monitor for Google always searches the web.

Well, if that is the reason, then I am asking myself, why can I configure over options, preferences, the country language?

The software is anyway in English. Wink

However, if that feature does not work, it would be fine, if it works. Wink

It does work.

Free Monitor for Google uses the red option, while you search using the blue one.

If you need to check not only Web results, but also a country ones you should take a look at Accurate Monitor for Search Engines which does support such function.

Sorry. As you said, it does NOT work with a specific country.

Thanks for mentioned the other software.

I am only confused because you have the function to choose one country (options, preferences) for..... what?

It uses the international data-ceneters. For Austria, it uses google.at, not google.com

Well, okay, if it works in that way, I would not allow to choose a specific country, but only Google.AT, Google.COM, etc.

Just a suggestion. Smile

True. But you avoid misunderstandings in future. Maybe, I was the first one. Maybe not. Wink
