When you add a URL should you put in the www. in front of the URL? Or not?

I set it up both ways for a URL and I am getting a bit of a difference in the outcome. What is the correct way to add the URL? Shocked

The output does not depend on your URL, because your URL is never transferred anywhere.

However, you should know that site.com is more general than www.site.com, so if your website supports both ways (with or without www part) you may want to omit it.

Anyways, omit the http part of the URL and the trailing slash.

You may omit the "http" part. And you may also omit the "www" if you are sure that this will identify your site correctly.

For instance, if you have a website www.cars.com it would not be a good idea to omit the "www" and specify your URL as cars.com, because it would also cover usedcars.com or newcars.com etc. You got the idea.
