Hi,
When I search 'backward links" to my site with Google, I get a result of above 1000.
When I run the "backlinks" tool, it only finds 79.
?

1. BackLinks Master can use 3 sources for the backlinks. Ensure you use Google (see the Preferences window).
2. How do you check backward links on Google? |

For now you can use Yahoo or MSN source. |

It is better to look at Yahoo and MSN when you want to analyse your backlinks. Google does not show the actual back links it is considering while ranking you just to avoid black hat practices. From other two search engines you can get fairly good information about your backlinks.

| In my opinion,if you want to check your backlinks, you should use google webmastertool or yahoo. |

you should be using yahoo site explorer to check the back links...
